Dry hair issue has been common for ages now. People normally use Shampoos, lotions and “good old oil” to massage the hair. I am always in favor of oil and recipes that are generally made at home for dry hair. Shampoo will not help you prevent dryness because:
- It is a product in the end!
- Each shampoo has a number of chemicals that your hair may no become accustomed to. Obviously you cannot try the shampoo at the retailers.
- Shampoo offers temporary treatment to long term hair related problems.
That being said, I have also used good quality shampoos. They are a bit expensive, but I guess nothing is that expensive when it comes to health… and tattoos. Speaking of tattoos, a few days ago, I was looking at this LinkedIn post by Jean-Pierre Le Rudulier. The purpose of sharing this photo at my website is to highlight the importance of price vs. health factor.
Getting Rid of Dry Hair through Homemade Recipe:
We spend an awful lot of time on our skin but do we dote enough attention and expenses to our scalp? After all, think of it – beneath that head full of hair, there’s a scalp which is all skin and follicles. Dry scalp would mean a hell of itchiness, weak hair roots and a tangled mess that’s hard to comb and even harder on eyes.
Researchers have proven that dry hair/ dry scalp are both interrelated to each other. The scalp gets affected by weather, stress, genetics and climatic conditions. Whenever you shampoo your hair, your follicles release a protective liquid, which is known as Sebum. Healthy people have a moderate and sufficient amount of Sebum, whereas, unhealthy people have to suffer with dehydrated hair/scalp due to lack of sebum secretion.
What you need, is a natural remedy for your hair and scalp that will leave you moisturized 24/7. Usage of oils, such as; almond, olive, burdock and Shea is good but if you mix any of them with honey and apply them to your hair, you will get remarkable results.
Another cost effective way of developing a homemade scalp conditioner is;
– 2 tablespoons cornmeal
– 1/2 cup grape seed oil
– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
– 1 shower cap
You have to mix all above ingredients and rinse your hair with warm water. Start applying the solution one tablespoon at a time into your scalp and move on to cover your entire head surface. Leave it on for 30 mins and then use your normal shampoo and conditioner. Your hair will be just as good as new in no time.
While you are applying the solution, use even strokes. Make sure that you are going in deep all the way to the roots. The idea of applying this solution is to help your hair roots and scalp pores absorb as much nutrients/ energy as possible. Otherwise, it won’t be of much use.
By the way, back in high school I applied a battered egg, mixed with coconut oil, to my hair. It smelled a lot but once I shampooed by hair, I got a really silky smooth look. Please let me know at email@example.com if this hair dryness homemade recipe worked.
