343 Industries, the company behind Halo 4 is all set to release the next upcoming installment of Halo game series. Known as Halo 5: Guardians, the title will be showcased somewhere in 2015. A general idea is that they will be revealing the gameplay, or the actual game in “fall of 2015,” meaning that there’s still a long waiting period.
By the way, “fall of 2015” means that by the time they have released the game, it will be Autumn season in the U.K. Another snag with the highly anticipated Halo 5: Guardians title is that it is Xbox One exclusive only. Of course it has to be; Killzone has always been for Playstation users and since both companies are in direct competition with one another, no one is going to release it for PC gamers.
According to Bonnie Ross, the General Manager at 343 Industries, “Halo 5: Guardians is a bigger effort than Halo 4. That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what’s now a brand-new and more powerful engine.”
Ross further said, “Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we’ve invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One’s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen.“
As of this moment, online media hubs and videogame websites are brimming with Halo 5: Guardians product image. The Spartan/ Master chief guy is standing, while an inverted image is underneath him; it is a simple drop shadow effect if you ask me. Doesn’t this image remind you of something else? Think about it for a while and there it is! OH SNAP… the Guardians’ image looks like Resistance 2 image.
(Oh boy, there goes the sense of originality). If 343 can spend thousands of dollars on developing a game, they should have hired a better creative head to create the game’s cover art; it is as if they simply copied the Resistance 2 cover art concept and changed it.
By the way, none of the 343 Industries representatives confirmed whether they Halo 5: Guardians title will be released for Xbox 360. Also, sales suggest that PS4 profit and demand margin is high as compared to Xbox One. So far, Sony is taking the lead in the market. Perhaps after the release of this new game, the demand curve will change.
