The Angry Monkey - Google ImagesSince 2010, China and Google U.S. have been in a rocky relationship. Chinese authorities have objections against how Google filters R rated content for the country. Google, on the other hand, has a lot more to deal with other than fulfilling Chinese internet demands. This is just how things are going on these days.

Experts are suggesting that China will probably shut its doors against Google when the time comes. I am thinking that day won’t be coming anytime soon because Google will always be, well… Google; the search giant.

Another reason for Google to remain at risk with China is the recent security breach. Some beady eyed Chinese hackers stole a batch of confidential information through the notorious and lame Internet Explorer browser. In a response, Google just transferred its Chinese headquarters to Hong Kong.

By the way, if you don’t believe me, a significant percentage of Chinese users are still using Internet Explorer version 4.0 or something. No wonder their computers are easy to exploit because of outdated browsers.

At the end of 2009, Google was scooping a staggering amount of clients from China. They all amounted to 384 million internet users, but the new disputes between the search giant and Chinese authorities have reduced the number of clients.

One thing is clear; Google is not going to back out of those filtering policies, no matter what happens. Let’s just hope that our Chinese fellows get to keep Google at their side. It all depends on the next few months…
