Unbelievable, isn’t it? When a New York police officer, who is coincidentally part of ridding his surroundings of “bad” activity, indulges in something he preaches against. That’s ironic too. The story goes on with a New York police officer, named: Sgt. Victor Leandry and his active involvement in the Internal Affairs Bureau.
Sgt. Victor Leandry was charged for buying a $15 iPhone off the street. Apparently the guy who was selling this “stolen” iPhone was also an undercover cop working on the same case. Our dear Sgt. Victor Leandry took an unusual interest in the cheap $15 iPhone and decided to buy it.
When confronted, Sgt. Leandry denied all allegations and accusations made against him. In fact, he said that it was the undercover officer who pestered him so much that he had to give into his convincing skills. Hence, on the fateful day of December 03, 2012, Sgt. Victor Leandry agreed to buy the iPhone from the alleged officer at an intersection in Washington Heights.
Mr. Leandry was charged for buying a stolen iPhone and possessing the stolen iPhone. He is all set to appear for a court hearing on January 15, 2013. Wow, what a nice way to start your new year, huh? A court hearing, really? That sucks Sgt. Leandry. I am not going to debate or pass comments about our justice system. May God bless the U.S. of A.
