Did you hear that Dead Space 3 is already in works? Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is booming up on score charts, and a Kinect version of Assassins Creed is about to head out? That’s not all, read on for more updates…
- Marvel Vs. Capcom 3:
So starting off with Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, all I have to say is that most of the reviews about this game have been positive. If I were to take 20 of them, 19 would be in favor of the game, while the remaining 1 review will typically hail from the haters’ lot. So on the average scale, I’d say that the game has obtained a 9 out of 10.
How so? These reviews about MVC 3 came from big sites and even bigger players. For instance, G4 reviewed the game and said, “Capcom is on the verge of adding 2 new Downloadable characters to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. The developers are expected to add 1 or 2 new fighting modes, so you have more reasons to purchase this game.”
Then again, there’s “Joystiq” – The company came up with a full 5/5 feedback score. They said, “Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is a great game. The amount of love and effort that the developers put in it, it just pours through everything. It is going to be a heavy duty rotation among the gamers’ lot.”
- Assassins Creed and the Kinect duo:
As much as some people have hated Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed franchise, there’s been an equal amount of positive feedback from all over. This game has convinced investors and developers to take it to the next level. I’m talking about a strong possibility that Assassins Creed might go through a revision and get released for the Xbox Kinect community.
Plus, an entirely new installment of Assassins Creed is underway. It will be released in 2012 (the end of the world), with improved graphics, newer game modes and tons of interesting perks. By the way, Ubisoft also made an announcement to release the game for the Nintendo 3DS community. I did mention it in one of my blog posts earlier.
As far as the 2012 version of Assassins Creed is concerned, here’s what one of the developers had to say, “We’re planning on bringing some totally new and invigorating features in the next version of Assassins Creed. It will be compatible with the Kinect platform as well. Though the production team is contemplating the idea of releasing it for Kinect community, I can assure you that there’s a very strong possibility of it happening right away.”
- Sad but true: Mirror’s Edge 2 is nowhere near completion:
In 2008, EA published one of the best free running rooftop games. It was known as Mirror’s Edge. I loved it; things just seemed so real and cool. 3 years later, we heard that they were working on a second installment of this game, but alas… EA and DICE, for some reason, have abstained from working on Mirrors Edge 2.
Either its one of those “technical” difficulties that companies encounter every now and then. Or maybe, they’re really trying on focus on releasing Battlefield 3 at the moment. Whatever the reason may be, it really sucks to see Mirror’s Edge 2 falling behind schedule. Rumor has it that they will be releasing it somewhere in year 2016.
- Dead Space 3: It’s already confirmed!
Oh god, my intestines are already quivering with excitement. Just weeks after Dead Space 2 is released, I heard that EA is working on releasing the 3rd installment of this massive space horror game. Dead Space 2 was loved by the critics. I’ve personally played it, there’s tons of stuff to explore. All the more, it’s giving me the feeling that Dead Space 3 will be far better than the current version.
EA’s CEO – John Riccitiello, spoke on the behalf of Dead Space franchise, “That excludes Dead Space because I think it will probably take Dead Space 3, before we get into that 5 Million Unit Cadence versus say 3, or 4.”
